After her marriage falls apart in Germany, Leyla moves back home to Turkey with her young son. But life in her father’s house is no picnic: Leyla’s brother and sister are jerks, her stepmother is openly rude, and her father Salih is not exactly the loving type. When a business associate takes an interest in Leyla, Salih hardly needs convincing to carry the proposal to his daughter.
Haşmet is a wealthy and successful businessman who fell in love with Leyla at first sight. His feelings are genuine, and he seems nice enough. Besides, life in her father’s house has become unbearable. Leyla agrees to get married for the sake of her son. Then, on her wedding night, Leyla discovers that her fiance is actually a dangerous criminal. Leyla escapes the wedding as fast as she can. With everyone looking for her, the runaway bride begs one of Haşmet’s employees for help. Alper, not so willingly, helps her get away.
Alper is a young man with troubles of his own. A horrible traffic accident killed his brother and left his wife in a coma. Only later did he discover his brother had swindled him and left him deeply in debt. Alper became a manager in one of Haşmet’s restaurants, and things were beginning to look up—until the runaway bride jumped in his car.
Alper comes to realize the truth about Haşmet, and he decides to help her. Before long, the two are on the run together—and in love.
Leyla gets a job as the assistant to Canan, a cold and demanding publishing executive. Despite Canan’s reserve, Leyla’s intelligence and hard work wins her over. What neither woman realizes is that they are mother and daughter! Years ago, Canan left Leyla’s father, changed her identity, and started a new life. In time Canan became a very successful businesswoman, but her failure as a mother haunts her to this day.
What will happen when Canan learns the truth about Leyla? Can they be mother and daughter after all these years?
Will Alper and Leyla prevail against Haşmet and all his schemes to get her back?
Can their love flourish in the midst of this war?
