PERSONA 2 follows up on the 2018 prestige series that won Haluk Bilginer an International Emmy Award. Bilginer reprises his role as Agâh Beyoğlu, an Alzheimer’s patient who has now completely lost his memory and lives in a nursing home. An experimental drug returns part of Agâh’s memory, but that turns out to be more of a curse than a blessing. He remembers the people he killed to avenge an abused child but not the reason why. Horrified by the murders flashing before his eyes, Agâh turns himself into the police. What he tells them makes no sense, and they eventually release Agâh due to his Alzheimer’s, but not before a corrupt prosecutor informs the mafia that he has found the notorious “Dog Killer” they have been searching for all these years.
Soon Agâh is pursued by Kader, an international assassin who has returned to Türkiye to avenge his brother, a mafiosi Agâh killed. Kader’s plan is to murder everyone Agâh loves, one by one, before killing Agâh himself. When Agâh realizes the danger, he flees Istanbul with his family. What follows is a dangerous game of cat and mouse with Kader, all while Agâh grapples with the moral implications of his actions and the true nature of the experimental drug.
Amidst the chaos, Agâh's journey intersects with the efforts of lawyer Meryem and an association seeking justice for victims of Kader's past atrocities. As the confrontation with Kader reaches its climax, Agâh devises a plan to expose the truth and protect his family.
